Eurovision 2022: Malik Harris – Rockstars Review

Malik Harris reminds people of the good old days on his track Rockstars but equally ensures we don’t get lost in the search for happiness by looking back. Make your mind up, Malik.
The chorus opens the track which should mean the really simple melody gets stuck in your head. It doesn’t. It would be easy to say it goes in one ear and out the other, but it barely tickles the first ear drum.
Harris displays 50 seconds of spoken word in the second verse of the track which is a surprise direction change. It doesn’t rescue the song but it shouldn’t be what the track is remembered for.
Rockstars ends abruptly which is a shock yet the surprising end still doesn’t leave you wanting more. It’s a harmless track but if it did any harm at least it would be memorable for something.
