Sunderlands Bridal Legacy Shines: Ushaw Exhibition Extended by Popular Demand

Following immense popularity with attracting over 6000 visitors since the 23rd of March, Ushaw House in Durham has decided to extend its exhibition “A century of Wedding Gowns” until June 30th.
This beautiful exhibition features over 70 dresses from those belonging to Sunderland brides to recreations of iconic royal gowns. Generously donated by Sunderland brides this dresses hold poignant stories, reflecting on the diverse history of bridal fashion.
The exhibition takes you all the way through a journey of Ushaw, it’s not static like previous exhibits and allows you to explore the captivating chapel spaces where you can take in both the fashion and the historical building. The extended run will also feature a special wedding fashion show on June 28th, promising an immersive exploration of bridal couture through the ages.
