Non League Day is the perfect opportunity for Newcastle and Sunderland fans alike to attend local grassroots fixtures with their sides not playing due to the international break.
On March 25 this year fans will be encouraged to support their local non league sides with Premier League and Championship action unavailable due to the international break.
The weekend provides the ideal opportunity for fans who otherwise wouldn’t get the chance to go and visit and support what many would describe ‘proper football’. Where the supporters are within touching distance of the pitch, where the players’ egos don’t dominate proceedings and where money isn’t the foundation of success.
