MATCH REPORT

Hyde United 1-3 Hebburn Town

A late brace from loanee Kian Forman secured all three points for an on-form Hebburn Town, which added to Campbell Darcy’s equaliser after the Hornets conceded early to a Taylor McMahon goal.

Manager Daniel Moore made one change going into the match, with Olly Martin coming into the squad to replace unavailable striker Gary Martin.

Hyde began the match on the front foot in the fourth minute, when Lewis Rawsthorn tried to lob goalkeeper Dan Cameron, though the Sunderland loanee dealt with the danger effectively.

Hebburn’s best chance came in the 18th minute, when Robert Briggs went for a shot on goal but blasted high – before the Hyde ‘Tigers’ took the lead five minutes later, when McMahon placed a low shot from 20 yards past Dan Cameron.

Shortly before half-time, Aidan Heywood made a block inside the box to prevent a shot by Rawsthorn. Kershaw then took the corner, but a foul on Cameron led to the referee awarding a free-kick.

Half-Time: Hyde United 1-0 Hebburn Town

Hebburn came out fighting in the second half and nearly found the equaliser in the 47th minute through a well-timed cross from Briggs, which was headed clear from Max Harrop.

However, the equaliser did come only six minutes later, as Campbell Darcy placed a low shot under Yusuf Mersin.

The Tigers tried to retake the lead in the 64th minute, as a shot from Harrop was denied by Cameron.

In the 81st minute, the Hornets took the lead, after substitute Foreman slotted a low shot into the far corner, deflecting in off the post.

Forman went on to double his goal tally in the 84th minute, after Foreman smashed home a well-placed low shot into the bottom corner, safely securing all three points for the travelling Hornets – giving Hebburn their seventh win in a row.
