Northeast based radio on the rise

Radio, like many creative industries, has historically been based in the South, which has led to a stagnation and made it so a lot of the same voices are heard.
However recent developments in production and expansions in universities offering radio courses have resulted in an increase in diversity which doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
The future for the industry as a whole remains to be seen however these expansions seem very promising.
