South Shields Women 2022/23 – reflecting on an unsteady season

South Shields Women ended their 2022/23 campaign in fourth place, despite having no manager for much of the season.
The NERWFL Premier Division challengers retained hope of finishing second for much of the year, while interim coaches Alex Miller and Becki McMahon stepped in.
Spark took a look at their unsteady campaign, speaking to Miller as well as sampling some of the higher moments from the last few months.
The girls will look to go again when the new season starts in September, hoping to go one step further and secure that elusive promotion to tier four which has thus far escaped them.
