Sunderland fan speaks about the mood around the city ahead of the League One Playoff Final

Following Sunderland’s 2-1 aggregate victory over Sheffield Wednesday, the club booked a trip to Wembley to play Wycombe in the League One Playoff Final to hopefully book themselves a place in the Championship next season.

Football is at the heart of the city of Sunderland and at times can really dictate the mood around the place, something that was heavily showcased in the Sunderland Til I Die Netflix series. 

We spoke to Sunderland fan and season ticket holder Oliver Connor to get his opinion on next weekend’s Playoff Final and what it would mean for the city and its people if the club could finally achieve promotion after four long years.
