Charity sea dips set to take place across Tyne and Wear this winter

Written by on 12th December 2025

Every winter, people take part in sea dips to raise money for charity, and Tyne and Wear has several events taking place this year.

Fausto Coffee, a café based on Roker Beach, is hosting a New Year’s Eve sea dip on December 31. The event will run from 7.30am to 10am at Roker Beach.

Tickets cost £10 and include exclusive access to the café from 7.30am, with a continental buffet provided. The swim is in support of two charities, 4Louis and Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Only 50 tickets are available, and places can be booked via Eventbrite.

A spokesperson from Fausto Coffee said: “Here at Fausto we are not just a coffee shop, but a community. We love getting all of our regulars together for fun events, while also giving back. We thought, why not enjoy the last day of the year together and take advantage of our beautiful Roker Beach?

“£2.50 from every ticket sale will be divided between the 4Louis charity and Alzheimer’s Research UK, and we will also be fundraising for both on the morning.
