Newcastle United fans secure tickets ahead of Carabao Cup final

The first batch of tickets for the Carabao Cup final went on sale Wednesday as Newcastle United prepare to face Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on March 16.
Newcastle fans are eagerly awaiting their chance to secure a seat, with the club confirming on Monday that tickets will be released in phases to accommodate demand.
If tickets remain available, additional phases will be opened for fans meeting different eligibility criteria.
For many supporters, these final tickets will be like gold dust, with high demand and long queues expected. Only 31,939 Newcastle fans will be in attendance at Wembley, making competition fierce for the limited allocation.”
Longtime Newcastle fan Ryan said: “I was in pot 1 for the tickets and I managed to secure mine yesterday, I am buzzing. When I first got on, there were around 5000 people in the queue. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I got to choose my seat just behind the goal. Hopefully the goal that I see Newcastle score in!
“The club did it differently to how they did it the last time we got to the final. Loyalty points are a massive thing for Newcastle fans and they weren’t used at all to gain a ticket this time around. I found that quite strange and it may be something that could continue to happen with the new ownership.”

Newcastle fan for over twenty years and current season ticket holder, Max said: “I’m unfortunately in pot 5 for tickets. It’s not looking likely that I will get one but I still have hope. I couldn’t make it to some of the cup games this season so it has put me in the lower pot.
“If it was the same criteria as the last time we got to the final, I would’ve most likely been guaranteed a ticket.”
This marks Newcastle United’s second Carabao Cup final appearance in three years. Eddie Howe and his squad will be determined to end the club’s 70-year wait for a major trophy and bring silverware back to the city.
