Sunderland Under-21 claimed a thrilling 4-3 extra-time victory at the Select Car Leasing stadium over Reading Under-21 in the Premier League 2 play-off semi-final to book their spot in the final.

Black Cats captain Ellis Taylor scored a superb hat-trick, which included a last-gasp equaliser with the last kick of normal time to force the match into an additional 30 minutes.
In an end-to-end tie, striker Trey Ogunsuyi was well positioned to empathically seal the win in the dying embers of the game, sending Graeme Murty’s side into a title decider against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
In a post-match interview with Taylor, he reflected on the game and spoke about his team’s resilience and willingness to win after another dramatic late showing by Sunderland.
