A UK wide wave of local radio cuts this year is not only having a knock on effect on the industry but is now making young presenters here in Sunderland question their future careers.
Spark’s Hope Lynes and Chrissy Cameron are just two of thousands of aspiring radio presenters that work on Student Radio stations across the country.
However, whilst they dream of one day fronting the likes of Radio 1, the BBC have cut programmes from local radio stations from over 100 hours of programming to just 40.
Now, for some radio presenters, their dreams of making it big are in question as jobs are scarce, and money is tight.
