Here’s a guide on all the clubs, bars and restaurants in Newcastle where you may bump into your favourite stars. We’ve found eight different venues known to be frequented by the rich and famous.

Number One: Miller and Carter

Miller and Carter is a steak house that has been awarded ‘The Masters of Steak’ and is well loved not only by the general public but our favourite northern indie singer Sam Fender too. He’s not the only star spotted at the popular steakhouse the Newcastle United players are apparently regular customers and a joy to serve.

Number Two: Peace and Loaf

This sweet Jesmond restaurant has also welcomed Sam Fender who said they served him the “best food he’s ever tasted”. Any Sam Fender fan will know that he is often spotted out and about in South Shields or the toon. If you are looking to run into in the northeast Sam is definitely a likely bet.

Number three: Khai Khai

This restaurant has seen the faces of many massive stars over the years including the UK’s favourite angry celebrity chef Gorgon Ramsey himself. Major Hollywood actor Harrison Ford also stopped by for lunch while filming. This wonderful restaurant known for its delectable Indian cuisine has also seen Amanda Holden who said she got the recommendation from the Geordie duo Ant and Dec.

Number Four: Livello

Now onto the clubs for the party animals who need a little drink in them when at risk of running into a celebrity. This modern stylish cocktail bar flaunting theatrical performances and resident DJs has attracted the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Jess Glynne, Cheryl Tweedy and even Spice Girl Mel B.

Number Five: Above

Above is a rooftop bar situated on top of the Vermont Hotel where the nightclub Livello (mentioned above) is resides on a lower floor. These multi-award-winning venues are owned by the Gainford Group who also own Aveika and are so popular that the other venues where only opened to accommodate the hoards wanting to get a taste of the ‘Best Bar” and “Best Club” of the northeast including Little Mix, The Spice Girls and the Transformers cast when they were in town filming

Number Six: Aveika

Aveika is the restaurant sister to nightclubs Livello and Above and it specializes in Asian Cuisine so good the NUFC striker Joelinton had to get a taste. The Gainsford Group venues are so high in demand and of such good standards that stars will often eat at the restaurant before going out and spending the rest of the night at the related nightclubs like pro boxer Floyd Mayweather. Other visiting VIPs are Harrison Ford and NE-YO.

Number Seven: Arbeia

Now this joint is a little more out of the way as it’s actually in South Shields, however it is the only celebrity owned club on this list. Owned by no other than Jade Thirlwall of mega girl group Little Mix. This club is very popular as a novelty outing for Little Mix super fans who will travel far to visit but its also a hit among locals who go there to enjoy the good atmosphere, cheap food and drinks and the live music.

Number Eight: Florita’s

Last but not least the Tiki inspired club with an enormous celebrity following, Florita’s. HUGE stars have graced their dance floor such as mega star and half-time performer at the Superbowl this year, Rihanna! Along with other majorly successful musicians such as multiple Grammy winner Lady Gaga and former member of the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie.
