Vegan Sunderland Café set to celebrate restaurant week

Sunderland’s first 100% vegan café is set to celebrate Sunderland Restaurant Week with its delicious deals.

The Good Apple Café, located in Derwent Street, Sunderland, is a seven minute walk from the city campus and located near Park Lane.
During restaurant week (which runs March 4-12), the café is offering a £10 deal for any main from the specials board and a cake or dessert.
The café specialises in homemade vegan cakes and sweet treats as well as a small selection of gluten free options.
There is also a selection of teas and hot beverages with a range of plant milks to choose from.
Speaking about the event The Good Apple Café owner commented: “As a local small business we are very excited to be part of Sunderland Restaurant week! We haven’t taken part before so we are very much looking forwards to showcasing some of our vegan dishes for the event!
“The Good Apple was established in 2013 so this will be our tenth birthday year! And our third being fully vegan. So, in a way, restaurant week is such a good way for us to celebrate with customers. We will be providing our most show stopping dishes at great prices!”
