Which food places in Sunderland are trialing Just Eat robots?

A fleet of Just Eat robots, created by Starship Technologies, have been launched in a trial in Sunderland. With eleven different places taking part, there are many different foods that can be delivered to your door by a bright orange and white robot. Here is the list of all the different places taking part, what type of food they offer and some deals that they have on:
- Boba Cat
Right in the city centre, not too far from the train station, is Boba Cat. It is a boba tea and dessert place that is known for a big menu of different flavours and desserts.
A Just Eat robot can deliver anything from a classic milk tea to a banoffee bubble waffle. Boba Cat is open 9am-4.30pm.
2. Cheeky Duck
Cheeky Duck is a newer option based in Sunderland that has a large amount of Chinese food on offer, such as a curry rice bowl. It is open between 11am-7pm but closed on a Monday and Sunday.
3. Chillinos
Situated next to Cooper Rose, this is a popular pizza shop that is known for its abundance of pizza toppings and burger options. The whole menu is available to order through the robot. Delivery on the robot is open from 6pm-11pm.
4. Crave
For a lighter lunch option, Crave has a range of sandwiches such as ‘The Piri Piri Crave’ or ‘The Bologna’ as well as salad boxes and drinks. Based in Mackie’s Corner, this sandwich cafe is open 11am-3pm.
Crave has also been offering 20% off all orders over £25.
5. Jay’s Flavours
Jay’s Flavours offers different meal deals on pizzas and burgers as well as kebabs. It has its own deals called “Jay’s buckets” and has kids meals as well. Delivery is open from 12pm-11pm
6. Koji
Koji is a Japanese restaurant opposite Sunderland Empire that offers bao buns, sushi and ramen with all different places. Koji offer a range of different options that the robots can deliver. Delivery is live from 4pm-10pm.
7. Latin and British cafe
As it says on the tin, this cafe sells a range of different foods of British and Latin origin such as Pupusas, a national El Salvador dish and a classic jacket potato to name two of the vast menu this cafe has.
This cafe also has offered a discount through ordering with the robot where you can buy two items and get one of them at half price on selected orders. Delivery is open from 11am-10pm.
8. Magicpot9ja
Magicpot9ja is a Nigerian soup restaurant where you can order big portions of soup such as two litres of Bitterleaf soup, There is also a protein section if you wanted to add fish or meat to your soup and a meal deal section to add rice.
Delivery is open from 4pm-7pm.
9. Smugglers Coffee Co
Smugglers is a bagel cafe based in Pallion, Sunderland, which is the only option outside of Sunderland centre. It is a small cafe but has a large choice of bagels and drinks to choose from.
10. Sugar M
This boba tea place has many different flavours to choose from such as ‘Pudding Boba Jasmine Milk Tea’ and offers desserts such as a cream slice.
Sugar M also offers a free item with selected orders.
11. Wings ‘N More
Last but not least, Wings ‘N More offer different chicken options such as a chicken burger or a chicken tender meal with fries. It also has beef burgers and milkshakes.
They offer 20% off if you spend over £20.
