Joe Foster – A Future Boxing Star

On November 23, 2025, Joe Foster, 16, became an amateur boxing champion for Houghton ABC Boxing Club.

In previous years, Joe won other major boxing titles.
In May 2023, Joe won the Angel of the North Box Cup, and in November 2024, Joe won the Tyne Tees and Wear development champion title.
For only being 16 years old, Joe has dominated the under-80kg division.
The champ’s opponent was excellent; he gave Joe a black eye in the first round.
Joe won the fight by unanimous decision, and this was an incredible achievement for the 16-year-old.
The national champion started boxing at the age of 10 and not many people believed that six years on, he would become a national champion.
Joe’s Mam, Dad, and two sisters are immensely proud of how far he has come in his boxing journey.
The young national champion’s future is very bright, and he hopes to win more national titles in the upcoming years.
