Christmas Wreath Making Classes Across Tyne and Wear
Written by Laila Holliday on 20th November 2025
Tyne and Wear is full of Christmas wreath making classes this year, and they’re all happening soon to ensure you learn well before Christmas comes!
Green Fingers Garden Centre, South Shields
When: November 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30, on each of these days the classes are either 10am to 12pm or 2pm to 4pm.
Info: Karen, one of the staff, said: “The class is run by two experienced members of staff. We teach the class step by step on how to attach foliage and fruits on to a mossed ring and how to attach a nice bow and hook on the back to attach it to their door. The class consists of fun and laughter, everyone enjoying themselves and very happy to be taking home a wreath that they never thought they could make themselves.”
Tickets: Available from £39.99.

Pottery Wreath Making Workshop, Newcastle
When: November 18 and 25 from 6:30pm to 8pm.
Info: It is being hosted by Soul Ceramiks in Newcastle (see map for further location details). Chelsea, owner of Soul Cermaiks, said: “Instead of using foliage, we work entirely with clay, using texture rollers, cutters and sculpting tools to build unique ceramic wreaths that are then fired and glazed. It’s a relaxed, hands-on session that celebrates creativity, craftmanship and individuality, resulting in a lasting piece that can be cherished year after year.”

Minerva Arts & Wellbeing, Sunderland
When & where: December 4 6:30pm to 9pm in Sunderland (see map for further location details).
Info: Andrew, from Minerva Arts & Wellbeing, said: “We guide people through mossing up their base so it feels secure and even. Once the ring is ready, we build it up with the foliage. Then, everyone chooses from dried oranges, limes, apple slices, chillies, grapefruits, cones and ribbons to finish their wreath. The money raised from our Christmas activities help us fund free creative sessions throughout the year for people who face barriers to accessing arts opportunities.”
Tickets: £29.50, find more information and book here: Minerva Arts & Wellbeing.
