The celebration looks to replicate the iconic Munich beer festival which attracted 6.7 million visitors in 2024.
The event starts at 6pm tonight (Frida, October 3) and ends after Saturday night.
Sam Hufton, General Manager of Operations at Sheepfolds Stables, said: “Tomorrow’s probably the busier day. We’re kicking off at 3pm tomorrow and we’ve got some traditional Bavarian dancers on the stage. We’ve got a Bavarian host and then from 6pm. We’re getting some live bands on the stage, some DJs, some German food in the Back of the Pit Mine Cafe. Visitors can expect a kind of traditional Oktoberfest Bavarian fair.”
With live music, traditional dancers, authentic German food, ice cold Jägermeister, Schnapps, giant steins and lederhosen all on offer, the event is sure to prove popular.
The event is completely free to attend with no tickets needed to enter.
The rundown of events is as follows:
Friday, October 3:
6pm onwards – Quality German beers, steins, ice cold shots and fresh quality food is available throughout the evening.
7pm-9pm – Live music on stage from The Call Up
9pm – Live DJ set by Aaron Swales
