Newcastle United Soars to Wembley: Club Set for Thrilling Showdown

Newcastle United will reach Wembley once again after winning 2-0 against Arsenal. The Magpies have the potential to win the Carabao Cup on Sunday March 16 against Liverpool after the reds won the other semi-final second leg last Thursday (Jan 30). The last time Newcastle had this opportunity was 2023 when they suffered a 2-0 loss to Manchester United.
Newcastle last won a domestic trophy in 1955 with the FA Cup so fans are eagerly hoping for their next piece of silverware. Paul Clark, a Newcastle fan of more than 30 years, said: “It feels amazing, it’s been so long since they’ve won anything. It is well overdue and we, they, deserve it to win the final”.
He plans to watch the match at home with his family and says he was been following along “all my life since I knew about football and started playing, at around five years old.”
A proud fan of eight years, Adam Brown, said: “As a Newcastle fan it is a big achievement for us as a club to be able to make it to the final of the Carabao Cup two of the past three years. We were fighting relegation until Eddie joined our club and sent us to new highs that most Newcastle fans didn’t think possible in such a short time.
“He has not only took us to two Carabao Cup Finals but he has also got us into the champions league for the first time in 20 years.
“To be able to say as a Newcastle fan that we are in with the chance of winning a major trophy for the first time since 1955 is massive for all fans across the country. If we do win this cup it will set us up for the future to push to be able to win the premier and make sure we get a champions league every year”. He intends to watch the final in the pub with his mates.
Tickets have yet to be released but Wembley Stadium has stated: “Please note that tickets for this years final will be sold via the relevant competing clubs, once they are decided”.
It’s likely these tickets will sell out soon after release but fear not, Spark is here to show you the best pubs in London near the stadium to watch the game for all the Newcastle supporters travelling down.
