Egg-citing things to do in and around Sunderland over the easter holidays

Written by on 21st March 2024

With two weeks off over Easter, I’m sure everyone’s currently scrambling to find egg-citing things to do over the holidays. Whether it’s with kids or without, we’ve rounded up some of the best things in Sunderland to fill your time.

Stack Seaburn is running multiple Easter-themed events for the kids, starting with ‘A Celebration of Peter Rabbit’ on Good Friday, March 29 between 11am and 1pm. The day will be filled with performances, meet & greets, kids activities and street food, this event is walk-in on the day and free, so perfect for a cheap day out!

The next event Stack is running is ‘Easter Special with the Easter Bunny’ on Easter Sunday, March 31 and it is yet another free event running between 11am and 1pm. It will consist of colouring activities, dance parties and even a visit from the Easter Bunny himself! No tickets are necessary so hop along on the day!

The National Trust is running its very own Easter Egg hunt at Souter Lighthouse and The Leas on both 29th March and 30th March from 11am – 3:30pm. There’s no booking needed and the price is £3 per child which includes a trail map and chocolate egg.
