The woman, 31, and her two children, aged three and eight, were attacked on Wednesday evening around 7pm and are experiencing possible “life-changing” injuries.
A witness heard the mother saying: “I can’t see, I can’t see!”
Ezedi was last seen on Caledonian Road in North London.
He should not be approached and has injuries on the right side of his face. Instead call 999 if you spot him.
Superintendent Gabriel Cameron, of Metropolitan Police, said: “The suspect has travelled down from Newcastle.
“We believe the male is from the Newcastle area and he could be going back there. He may not be but he could be.”
If you have any information, 0207 175 2784 and you will be directed to the Metropolitan Police specialist unit.
Supt Cameron added: “We take violence against women and girls very seriously, this was someone in a vulnerable position and it would’ve been a horrific crime.
“We will catch him, I am whole-heartedly confident.”
Metropolitan Police are working with British Transport Police and Northumbria Police.
The connection to the victims and Ezedi is unknown.
Ezedi fled on foot after hitting another vehicle in his attempted escape.
A number of bystanders and police were also injured in the incident.
