For those who enjoy a dining out experience, look no further than the City of Sunderland after it was named the best in the UK for independent restaurants.
The city scored an impressive 72.3/100 and ranked first on a list which was put together by Bionic.
This recognition is a welcome boost for the city which despite being marginally neglected in previous years, is working hard to establish itself as a destination for foodies.
