David Ginola reveals he almost starred in Casino Royale

I’m a Celebrity’s David Ginola was to appear in the 2006 James Bond movie Casino Royale.
Speaking on Thursday’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Ginola revealed that he was on the shortlist to be sitting at the Casino Royale poker table.
He said: “The girl in charge of the cast [Debbie McWilliams], she called me in and said you are in the film playing poker with Le Chiffre and James Bond.
“I say you kidding!”
EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt felt “just a little bit jealous” when Ginola disclosed this.
But with the appointment of a new director for the movie, Ginola’s Bond appearance fell through.
“She had a phone call from Barbara Broccoli, and she said they had a new director, and they picked a different person,” said a disappointed Ginola.
