Hope Street Xchange in Sunderland is once again proud to support International Women’s Day by hosting its own event on Friday 8th March.
This year they are aiming to highlight the fantastic work being done across the region to support women of all ages through education and into work.
Join them for an inspiring and empowering event with a focus on the achievements and the support needed for those who come from a disadvantaged background or are facing complex barriers.
They open up their space to successful women from all around the North East and these are just a few of the women who will be giving a talk on the day:
Rebecca Robinson – Building Manager for HSX
Lauren Robinson – Journalism Graduate and founder of the first beauty bank in Sunderland
Dr Rebecca Owens – Lecturer in Psychology
and more!
AND…
They are working with Smart Works and The Red Box Project, HSX will be collecting donations of clothes for women to wear to interviews, who may otherwise not be able to attend, and sanitary items to stock a red box in a local school, to help fight period poverty!
This event is for everyone from all walks of life and backgrounds – join Hope Street Xchange for a fantastic morning to celebrate International Women’s Day 2019!
Spark will be there showing our support too so feel free to come say Hi when you arrive! 😀
