Strictly Star Amber Davies is Heading to Sunderland Empire with Legally Blonde

Amber Davies has gone viral as she joins Strictly Come Dancing in the lead up to her major role in Legally Blonde at Sunderland Empire.

Strictly Come Dancing announced today that Amber Davies will replace Dani Dyer on the show following her severe ankle injury sustained during rehearsal. Davies will be joining the show to dance with professional Nikita whilst balancing her UK Tour as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. 

Being front and centre of so many headlines, Davies’ popularity has transferred to her Legally Blonde shows. The smash hit musical is based on a 2001 rom-com sensation that starred Reese Witherspoon in the lead role as Elle Woods. Cast in this role, Amber Davies is heading across the UK to perform, hitting the North East from Tuesday 1 to Friday, December 5.

Davies has said: “this part is the role of a lifetime, and I am honoured to be stepping into Elle’s perfect heels”.  You can find tickets here starting from £15.

After winning Love Island in 2017, Davies name for herself in the theatre world performing in musicals from 9 to 5 The Musical to Pretty Woman, she continues to grow her platform, gaining major recognition since joining late to the 2025 cast of Strictly.
