Radio deal means fans worldwide can follow the live action at Hebburn FC

Hebburn Town FC launch a profile-boosting live match commentary service this weekend, in partnership with local radio station Affinity Radio, for their Northern Premier League fixture against Warrington Rylands FC (kick-off 3pm on Saturday 27 September).

Affinity Radio is a local radio station which covers South Tyneside, Tynemouth, Newcastle, and Gateshead, with worldwide coverage via their online radio player.

The partnership with Hebburn Town FC is expected to boost the club’s profile reach in the local area and potentially even further afield, and could help draw more fans to the Trustmark Group Stadium for games. 

Club chief executive Stephen Rutherford said: “The club are delighted to partner with Affinity Radio to bring live match-day commentary access to audiences that can’t get to matches.

“This partnership brings a new opportunity to the club to widen our supporter network and additional exposure to the club.”

The live commentary will include exclusive interviews with club personnel, taking listeners behind the scenes at Hebburn Town FC on a weekly basis.

Mr Rutherford added: “Hopefully we’ll gain some new fans from near and afar, as the network is digital and therefore has a global reach, so no matter if you are in Hebburn, America, Europe or the Far East you can tune in via Affinity Radio.”
