Festive menus 2023: what Christmas foods are available this year?

The holiday season is fast approaching and venues have begun to release their Christmas menus during November in preparation. Here are our top picks near you.
Costa

Costa released their festive menu on November 2, which contains some familiar favourites as well as new additions. There is the Sticky Toffee Latte, which is their classic latte mixed with sticky toffee sauce and topped with a bronze shimmer dust.
The hot chocolate and latte have been upgraded to include a roast hazelnut flavouring and are completely new for 2023.
Then there’s the popular Terry’s Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate and After Eight Hot Chocolate and Pigs and Blankets Toastie for those wishing to satisfy their hunger.
Starbucks

Starbucks has launched their Christmas favourite nationwide. The Pigs Under Blanket Roll has returned, which is a combination of pork sausages covered in smoky bacon and then topped with mild Cheddar cheese, sage and onion stuffing and mayonnaise.
New for this year is Hazelnut Crunch Hot Chocolate – rich cocoa powder with a toasted hazelnut flavour, topped with crunchy chocolate and a hazelnut brittle topping.
There’s also the Toffee Nut Latte and Caramel Waffle Latte, both available in iced form for those looking for a familiar colder drink.
McDonald’s

McDonald’s has released festive items that are available in any participating restaurants. The drinks included are the Galaxy Caramel Latte and Galaxy Caramel Hot Chocolate which are both topped with caramel cream and Galaxy chocolate stars.
They are also holding their Festive Wins promotion, which is running from November 1 to November 30, available on their app.
There are food offers during weekdays all throughout November, including 99p Big Mac, 99p six-piece Chicken McNuggets and 99p Chicken Deluxe.
Wetherspoon

Wetherspoon pubs, including the Newcastle venue, are serving their Christmas menus from November 15 to December 31, excluding Christmas Day.
There is sliced turkey breast accompanied by winter vegetables, as well as a range of three burgers: the big cheeseburger, Brie and bacon burger and a chicken and stuffing burger.
As well as this there are the chicken, stuffing, bacon and Brie pizza and the Brie and garlic mushroom pizza.
There’s also a range of items on the dessert and children’s menu for those wanting a festive feel to their meal.
Greggs

Greggs have revealed the launch date of their much-loved Festive Bake, which has been announced to be November 9.
They unveiled this in a colourful drone display above Newcastle, which was later confirmed by Greggs on the platform X.
This item is a pastry filled with cooked chicken, sage and onion stuffing and cooked bacon, covered in sage and cranberry sauce.
