World Book Night: What influencers are livestreaming the event?
Written by Gabrielle Wilkinson on 23rd April 2026
Between 7-8pm tonight, people across the globe are dedicating an hour to reading as part of World Book Night.
Run by the Reading Agency, the challenge encourages people to pick up a book as part of their night routine.
Fancy taking part but want company? Spark lists its top three influencers livestreaming the event below.
1: Jack Edwards
Self proclaimed Internet Librarian Jack Edwards will be live on Inkling Book Club’s Instagram. Jack will be reading Nova Scotia House, a modern queer classic. With soft music playing in the background, he welcomes people to accompany him for an hour of relaxation.
2: Ruby Granger
Book influencer Ruby Granger is inviting people to join her on YouTube. Known for her study tips and literary recommendations, she encourages people to pick up anything they fancy and read with her.
Read With Me (National Reading Hour!)
3: The London Girls’ Book Club
The club is hosting a free Zoom call from 7:15 to 8:15pm. They welcome readers of all abilities to come, chat about their current reads, and celebrate books. To join, send them a message on Instagram.
The Reading Agency told Spark: “By participating in livestreams, what can feel like a solitary activity ends up being communal, bringing people together for a shared purpose.”
