This is your favourite WWE Content Creator’s biggest what ifs!

Written by on 31st March 2026

From Santizap to rising creators such as JC Pentagon, the wrestling content space has grown exponentially over the last decade. However, the most popular wrestling conversations tend to relate and revolve around alternate ‘what if’ scenarios.

The nigh on endless possibilities of such a question leads to so many branches of discussion, from past, to present and even to the future. With this, to further explore this concept, I researched into what your favourite content creator’s biggest what ifs are, which can range from small differences that wouldn’t change much in the grand scheme of pro wrestling, to those ideas that would be industry shifting.

The rising creator JC Pentagon had ideas resulting in both, saying, “I’ve always wondered what if Roman Reigns had turned heel after WrestleMania 33.” He adds, “I mean didn’t the Usos turn heel around that time anyways? He could’ve effectively been the tribal chief in 2017, and not a whole lot changes, he could still feud with guys like Braun Strawman and John Cena.”  For those who don’t know, Roman Reigns had defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33 which ultimately led to him getting an enormous amount of hate, which was only amplified the night after with his infamous ‘this is my yard now’ promo. During this period, when he was up against the names previously mentioned, he was consistently booed over the crowd’s actual fan favourites. However, rather than using this to turn him to the dark side, WWE insisted on keeping Roman Reigns as the biggest face of the company which persisted up until 2020 with the introduction of his tribal chief character upon his return to the company.

Yet JC Pentagon also had a what if related to WrestleMania 39, stating, “I know nothing major would have changed but I would have loved to see Finn Balor beat Edge in that hell in a cell man. He needed that win way more.” Following this loss, Finn Balor would go on to fight to become the inaugural world heavyweight champion after it was re-introduced prior to the 2023 edition of Night Of Champions and whilst he lost, he would go on to challenge for the title on numerous subsequent premium live events. On the other hand, after similarly failing to win the world heavyweight championship, Edge would go on to leave the company after beating Sheamus in his hometown. Using this, it is clear that Finn Balor would have benefited far more from beating the legend at the biggest wrestling show of the year.

However, other older creators have vastly differed what ifs, with one saying, “if I had to narrow it down to one, it’d probably be about Stone Cold not turning heel at WrestleMania 17.” For context for younger fans of WWE, Stone Cold was the biggest star of one of the biggest periods of wrestling labelled by most fans ‘The Attitude Era.’ However, following WrestleMania 17, 2001 saw a rapid decline in popularity for WWE, mostly due to the beloved Stone Cold becoming a heel and turning his back on the fans. When asking how they would play out this scenario, one creator said, “maybe just have Austin elevate the mid to upper mid card guys like Jericho and Kane until maybe a rematch with the Rock at Summerslam?” She continues, “Or have him go up against Booker T in a double title match or something. Hell, you could even do the one-night tournament they did at Vengeance later in the year and have Chris Jericho walk out as double champion with no one knowing where he would align.”

Alongside this, many other creators already have shined a light on their biggest what ifs regarding pro wrestling. For example, popular YouTuber Santizap once labelled Eddie Guerrero’s passing as his biggest personal what if, with him even saying about his planned future, “in terms of ramifications that could have come about from this is that this would have been the greatest professional wrestling match of all time.”

For context, before his passing, it was heavily rumoured that he was going to face Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 22. Given how short notice his WrestleMania program ended up being, this gives validity to this claim that this was the original plan.

Speaking of WrestleMania, another younger creator said, “what if Roman Reigns faced The Rock at WrestleMania 40. I was so excited for that match when it was teased by the Rock.” Originally, this match was the plan until social media backlash changed things completely.

Using analytics across YouTube, I also found that wrestling fans are interested in what if scenarios surrounding the Bullet Club. This group was first created in 2012 and was an overnight success, catapulting several wrestlers into super stardom such as Finn Balor and AJ Styles. However, given the fact some of the most successful leaders and members of the Bullet Club are in WWE, that could be why viewers are wanting to see the group reform. In addition to this, content creators such as MurfsYT13 would make alternate scenarios revolving around the group and the leaders. On top of this, after over a decade, Bullet Club was officially dissolved early in 2026, driving more people to clamor for the idea to come to life.

To conclude, there are seemingly infinite what if ideas that many want to see including content creators themselves. Some however actually decide to make these alternate scenarios come to life through the WWE games franchise, which has seen creators flourish in this corner of the space. If you want to see more of this, check out both short and long form creators who use the games to create these scenarios. As we all ponder the question ‘what if’, see how content creators would do it!
