Is there romance brewing in the I’m a Celebrity jungle between Aitch and Shona McGarty?
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! isn’t known for romance but recently the two campmates have stolen the show.
Aitch, 25, a rapper and Shona, 34, best known for playing Whitney Dean on EastEnders, have caught the public’s eye for how close they’ve become during their time in the Australian jungle.
Aitch has been one of the vocal campmates so far, as he has done the most trials and was voted to be the most recent camp leader.
Most of his screen time has been with his friend from outside the jungle, Angry Ginge, as their banter and ‘leadership’ has caused a stir in the camp but resonated well with the public.
Some have even labelled them as the next Ant and Dec. However, his attentions have turned to another campmate, Shona.
Fans first noticed their friendship on Friday’s show and how close they’d gotten. Throughout the last week, people have been paying close attention to them and it all came to a head on Wednesday.
The celebrities were split into rivals and had to compete to remain in the better camp. During these trials, they were sitting very close and getting touchy with each other.
Aitch and Shona both lost their trials and were sent to the Doomsville camp where they had to sleep on the floor and eat plain rice and beans. Aitch, however, saw the positives of the new camp.
While Shona was showering, Aitch said: “Lovely being in Doomsville everyone thinks it’s so dark and gloomy but I’m seeing the beauty in it.”
Later in the episode, Shona and Kelly Brook decided to have a pillow fight to lighten the mood and Aitch and Shona ended up play fighting on the floor.
During the tussle, Shona asked him: “Why are your thighs so strong?”.
Presenters Ant and Dec commented on how “cosy” things were in the Doomsville camp.
Fans on X, formerly Twitter, have been commenting on their pair since last night’s show.
One person said: “Shona & Aitch… pillow fight is the oldest trick in the book.”
Another person said: “Aitch lost on purpose to be in the same camp as Shona but I just can’t quite prove it”.
The increase in interest for the pair has sparked some questions.
Are Amelia Dimoldenberg and Aitch still together?
No. The pair split in 2022 following a three year relationship after they met on Amelia’s show Chicken Shop Date.
Does Shona have a boyfriend?
No. Shona was recently engaged to musician David Bracken but the pair split in 2025.
With both celebrities seemingly single, there’s a chance their current friendship blossoms during their time in the Doomsville camp and beyond.
There’s still 10 days to go until this year’s series ends and with eliminations around the corner, fans will be hoping the pair can survive long enough to make it to the final day.
