Teesside Airport to open more flights to Alicante next Summer

Written by on 21st November 2025

Teesside Airport is set to open up more flights to Alicante, Spain, running from March until October next year.

During this period four Ryanair flights to the destination will depart rather than the usual three – taking off on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The airport runs flights to Alicante and Malaga all year round, and in the Summertime has departures for Faro, Majorca, and Corfu.

The Managing Director of Teesside Airport, Phil Forster, said: “The numbers show Alicante has been a big hit from Teesside. Ryanair have been great to work with, and their team has recognised our success, backed us with extra flights in 2026 – and offered up a new and improved schedule for next summer.

“Our passenger numbers are on a steady rise on our key European routes, and our team work tirelessly to make travelling from Teesside an enjoyable, personal and stress-free experience.

“Rest assured, we’re hard at work to secure more destinations on our departure boards in 2026.”

Bookings for the Alicante flights are available for purchase now, and Ryanair has released the flight times on their website.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “Our airport team are working day in, day out to deliver on calls for more routes from Teesside, and this increased schedule for our Alicante route just goes to show that demand is there for the flights that people want.

“With more great routes direct from Teesside and growing international companies expanding rapidly at our business park, we’re building a bright future for our brilliant airport.”

The Airport also has KLM flights to Schiphol, Amsterdam.

Meanwhile, easyJet has announced a new route to Tenerife from Newcastle Airport for August 2026, with seats now on sale as the airline expands its Newcastle network.
