Silksworth Sports Complex in Sunderland is hosting the ‘Apres-Ski Party’ again this year, which will feature Radio 1 DJ Charlie Hedges.
The event will be taking place on Friday 23rd of October, starting at 5pm and finishing at 10pm.
This will be the second year running that the Ski Party will be taking place due to its huge success last year. Ned Payne at Everyone Active, said, “Last year proved a great success and we are confident this year will be even better. Charlie will help us pull in the crowds and create a fantastic atmosphere for people to enjoy”.
Charlie Hedges is an international DJ who has played numerous events. This year she performed in front of a massive lively crowd on the main stage at BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend at Herrington Park and put on an incredible set.
This event will be offering many activities for people of all ages, making it the perfect evening out for families. There will be sessions of skiing, tubing and other winter activities, as well as a ski acrobatic show, along with many food and drink stalls.

Not only will the sports complex, food and drink stalls at the event be benefited but other small businesses across Sunderland will benefit financially too. A Sunderland Council Spokesperson said, “Visitors travelling to the event will support local businesses and hopefully take the opportunity to explore more of what the city has to offer”.
The event will undoubtedly draw people in from all over the North-East, especially due to having such a well-known DJ performing. The council spokesperson continued to say, “Events like this complement the significant regeneration taking place across the city. As we continue to evolve and grow, attracting major events helps boost our profile, creating a real sense of excitement and reinforces our ambition to be a destination that people choose to visit, enjoy and return to”.
Tickets for the event are still available and will be priced at £10 per person with under-5s getting in for free.
You can book online, on the phone (0191 528 5101), or in person at the centre.
