Sense and Sensibility at Tyneside Cinema

A modern remake of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility is coming to cinemas on September 25, 2026, starring Normal People’s Daisy Edgar-Jones, Esme Creed-Miles and Bodhi Rae Breathnach as the three sisters.
Tyneside Cinema located down the road from Monument Metro station is holding a viewing event including afternoon tea in the Coffee Rooms before enjoying the new adaptation in the comfort of the Classic Circle at Tyneside Cinema.
Here’s what John from the Tyneside Cinema team told us about what to expect;
“Those attending Tyneside Cinema’s Sense and Sensibility Afternoon Tea event this weekend will be treated to a delicious spread in The Tyneside’s historic Coffee Rooms, before enjoying the new Jane Austen adaptation in the luxury of our Classic Circle, premium balcony seating in our largest screen.
The menu includes tea and coffee, homemade focaccia sandwiches and scones as well as a selection of freshly made cakes, with the experience offering a unique way to engage with this highly anticipated drama.
Across the weekend, and also themed around Sense and Sensibility, there’s a Popcorn & Prosecco option and a Canvas & Cocktail activity screening for those who want to let their creativity shine before the film.”
