A century of The Royalty Theatre: honouring its volunteer spirit

The Royalty Theatre, established in 1925, is marking its 100th year. Run by volunteers in Sunderland, it’s just staged Noël Coward’s ‘Private Lives’, directed by Corinne Kilvington.

She told Spark’s Jiarui Liang about the important role the Royalty and its hardworking volunteers continue to play in the city’s arts scene.
