Written by Lucy Wood on 11th November 2022
Peter Kay has announced his triumphant return to the comedy stage with a tour around the UK. This was shown during the ad break for Sunday night’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!
He is returning to Newcastle in the spring of 2023.
Kay, 49, from Bolton, is most famously known for his comedic TV programmes such as Phoenix Nights, Peter Kay’s Car Share, and his stand-up comedy shows.
Having not performed in over 12 years, fans of the comedian have been anxiously anticipating his revival. He had previously had a 12-month tour planned from April 2018 to March 2019. However, this was cancelled due to “unforeseen family circumstances”.
