Demand data from last year shows that staycations continued to be popular, while travellers went abroad explore different destinations in order to find the best value for money.

New research reveals which holiday destinations are top when it comes to the best value for money this year.
- Best value for money overseas cities for HomeAway British travellers in 2017 were; Alhama de Murcia, La Florida and Torrevieja – all in Spain
- Best value for money destinations for HomeAway British travellers in 2017 within the UK were; Cwm Penmachno (a village in the Snowdonia national Park), Yaverland (a village in the Isle of Wight) and St Erth Praze (a Hamlet in West Cornwall.
