SAFC Coleman shows frustration over transfer

Sunderland boss Chris Coleman let his transfer window frustration show as he prepared his side for their crucial Championship trip to fellow strugglers Birmingham tonight.
The Black Cats boss is likely to boast only one new player in his squad in the shape of Kazenga LuaLua after the striker joined on a free transfer from Brighton.
Coleman had hoped to add others including Derby’s Chris Martin to his line-up but – while he did not mention Martin by name – he made plain his feelings about the negotiations.
Coleman told a press conference: “It’s the opposite of the type of player we are trying to attract in terms of mentality, so that completely fell flat.”

The Black Cats return to Championship action tonight as they travel to St.Andrew’s to face Birmingham.
LuaLua is unlikely to start in tonight’s match, but could be used from the bench.
Both sides start tonight’s game in the relegation zone with Sunderland one place and one point above Birmingham with Sunderland currently 22nd position in the table.
The match kicks off at 7:45pm.
