NEW SCHEDULE: We’ve got a Brand New Early Line Up!

Spark have got some big news of our own! We’re excited to share our brand new schedule which launches this Monday (Monday 22nd January). 

We’ve got some brand new shows joining our schedule, plus a brand new line up of Early Breakfast shows waking you up from 6am each day and new additions to our weekday Breakfast, Daytime and DriveTime schedules!

Early Breakfast

Five new additions to the Spark team will take on Spark Early Breakfast each weekday from 6am-8am directly before the main Spark Breakfast show.

Scott Humphrey takes on Mondays, Lewis Harrower presents Wednesday, on a Thursday join Ellie Marsh and Stephen O’Driscoll hosts each Friday.

On a Tuesday tune in to Georgina Earley and Colin Cunningham presents his new show on Sundays both from 6am-8am.

Adam Wood meanwhile takes on a new early show for Saturday 6am-9am and also takes over Spark Daytime on Monday afternoons from 12pm-3pm.


Spark Breakfast

After the new early shows Spark Breakfast continues from 8am-11am.

Edmund Hewitt aka EddyBrek continues to present every Tuesday and Thursday while Nick Borthwick continues each Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, Katie Baggott and Jonny Beattie both move from Drivetime to join the Spark Breakfast team taking over Monday and Friday mornings respectively.

Stevie B and Jacob Moorfoot continue to host our Saturday and Sunday Spark Breakfast shows from 9am-12pm.


Spark DriveTime 

We’re having a quick shuffle on DriveTime aswell with Rebecca Dono moving to Wednesday and Tom Glenwright taking over Fridays.

Ryan & Beth are heading back to DriveTime after a few months on Spark Breakfast, you can now join them from 3pm-6pm each Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile Jonny Goldsmith moves from Daytime to DriveTime taking over Tuesdays and Lewis Bowden continues to present on Monday’s Drive Home.


Spark Daytime 

On our daytime line up, Abbie Burgess moves to Tuesday afternoons while Jordan Blyth takes up a new slot each Wednesday Afternoon.

Betty Ball, who’s been presenting Spark Breakfast alongside JD, moves to take on her own show every Friday afternoon.

Tyler Selby continues to keep you company every Thursday Afternoon, while on Sundays, Jennifer May West joins the Spark schedule hosting a new Spark Daytime slot from 12pm-2pm.

While on Saturdays, Liam Taylor and Nathan Harbottle continue to present between 1pm and 5pm.


Other Exciting Changes

The Bunker from Stockton Road, Sunderland continue to present a weekly show on Spark in a new hour long slot on Wednesday’s from 11am.

We’ve got a brand new Dubstep show with Hayden and Lewis, The Drop, in a new weekly slot every Thursday 10pm-Midnight.

The University of Sunderland Students Union Executive Team return to their fortnightly show every Friday 11am-12pm they’ll rotate with The mediaHUB Show (Hubbly Jubbly) bringing you the latest news and articles from Northern Lights, Fashion North and SRNews.

While another brand new show, The Passport, starts on Tuesday 30th January which takes you on a trip around the world with a selection of music and features from a different country each week.
