Martin Garrix, Fatboy Slim and Sigala smash Creamfields Day Four

28 August 2017 Featured Music News

What a weekend Creamfields 2017 proved to be. Friday was fantastic, Saturday – spectacular; could Sunday live up to the preceding days?

Hometown hero Anton Powers performed for the second time, after bringing along Pixie Lott the day before. The Scouse DJ’s set was catered to perfection for a Liverpudlian crowd, with just enough side dishes for outsiders to still enjoy.

Always a Dance Revolution favourite, Sigala delivered a stand-out set which will be remember as one of the best of this year’s Creamfields. As is expected with every Cream set, the production is always amazing and with Sigala it was no different. Bringing sing-a-long chart bangers with his distinctive style of drops, Sigala attracted one of the biggest crowds the weekend had seen collected in one spot.

Elsewhere on the Horizon stage we caught a bit of Faithless’ DJ set. It was almost too dirty. Naturally it went off when ‘Insomnia’ dropped. So, so heavy.

Fatboy Slim is one of dance music’s biggest legends. Always a pleasure to interview, and delivers big in his sets too. A very fun show packed with eclectic samples and superb visuals to match. Highlights included ending with ‘Praise You’ which mixed in a sample of Arcade Fire’s ‘Everything Now.’ The entire Fatboy Slim set was a massive party atmosphere with a humongous crowd. Fatboy Slim gave everything to his set with ostentatious passion.

Headlining the Horizon stage and bringing a close to Dance Revolution’s Creamfields 2017; Martin Garrix. He brought a big, light-laden, spectacular stage production complete with pyro and his logo standing tall. Garrix’s set was a juggernaut of massive tunes including ‘Animals’, ‘Scared To Be Lonely’ and Avicii’s ‘Waiting For Love.’

We didn’t quite get to see as many acts on Sunday, as we did on Sunday, but the quality didn’t reflect the quantity. Everyone we seen absolutely smashed it and left us wishing there were more days in the bank holiday weekend. Can’t wait to see you in 2018, Creamfields!
