Review: Rocky Horror Show

Posted on 16 June 2010 by

Having never, ever seen Rocky Horror before I had no idea what to expect. And the verdict? It’s perhaps one of the most outrageous, sexy and completely off the wall musicals I have ever seen.

Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror show certainly didn’t fail to have me squirming in my seat at each and every raunchy, naughty and deliciously hilarious minute.

The show its self was a spectacle to watch, amazingly designed and choreographed, with a superbly talented cast to top that off what more could you possibly want? David Badella was absolutely amazing as the irrepressible Frank ‘n’ Furter, with his velvety dark voice and fabulous stage presence, you’d think he’d been born for the part. Of course, the traditional audience participation provided the brilliant Christopher Biggins with hours of extra material, keeping the audience firmly in the palm of his hand.

There are still a small amount of tickets available for this fabulous show, and I strongly recommend you don your fishnets, stilettos and corsets and head down to the Sunderland Empire!
