Fun, fast pop punk, based solely around the use of dynamics. Happy, melodic music that brings a smile and an uncontrollable urge to dance!

Jealous Dog

http://www.myspace.com/jealousdog

Jealous Dog is a musical outfit lead by Yorkshire man Ryan Stocks, a man who has been writing songs for over 10 years. The J-Dog scope is a mixture of acoustic and electronic sounds, delving into alternative, melodic genres that lie somewhere between modern progressive rock and symphonic pop. Overall it’s about composing music and writing lyrics. Ryan welcomes anyone who would like to collaborate with him. The debut album “Songs about other people” is now available to stream or buy from itunes and all good online retailers. Ryan performs live with a strong 4 piece band. Check below for dates and details. Many hours are currently being spent writing and recording material for the new album which is to be released later in 2010.

Orion

http://www.myspace.com/orionsunderland

Tracks Include BOW AT THE GATES, PALLID, CONFUSION and SO WHAT (LIVE) – AVAILABLE FROM BEATDOWN RECORDS OR CONTACT BAND! Orion is a four-piece metal band originally formed in 2006 from four friends just wanting to play heavy, fast music. After many lineup changes leading to only two of the original members remaining, the band faced liquidation at the end of 2008 after losing its forth drummer.

After several months of hiatus those two remaining members joined another band, Cerberus. This fusion resulted in the resurrection of Orion in April 2009, and the beginning of a new chapter of this rocky road we face. We are Orion, and we are soldiers.

About The RiTeS
The RiTeS started in 2006 when Emily met the band’s singer Karl, but it wasn’t until the last year, when drummer Andy and guitarist Brett joined, that they have started making real progress. Since then the band have been recording there songs, doing many gigs and have recently progressed to the regional finals of live and unsigned

Imani

http://www.myspace.com/imanihekima

Imani’s songs stem from a wealth of musical and life experience. As keyboardist/main songwriter with Bradford ska/reggae outfit Spectre in the 1980s, the band earned support slots to Lee Scratch Perry, Augustus Pablo, Aswad, Junior Delgado, Eek a Mouse & The Redskins. An accomplished pianist, he also has a BA honours degree in music and taught piano privately throughout the 1990s.

He began gigging as a solo artist in the early Noughties, briefly as part of all sibling trio Real Eyez, who supported Dennis Rollins. Onstage, he is backed by Stuart Mitchell on drums, Tobie Carpenter on guitars and Philippe Clegg on bass. As if to underline his versatility, Imani also gigs as a solo pianist performing Hindi film songs as instrumentals at Asian weddings and concerts (including supports slot to acclaimed Asian artist Raghav and Islamic singer/composer Idris Phillips in 2009) – see IMANI in Top Friends to find out more.

Imani’s video ‘The Robots’ Rebellion’ was featured in the Headlines section of the official David Icke website in 2009 and is also to be found on the Conscious Media Network website, in the ‘Conscious Music’ section. He plans to self release his debut album in 2010 (May/June, barring any mishaps), co-produced with his close friend Chris Thomas (Soulfunktion Productions)- a chance to share his soulful and socially conscious work with a wider audience.
Thanks to Jack Eames for the photography, check him at www.jackeames.com. You can find Imani on Facebook too. FRIEND REQUESTS NOTE: Please include a message with your invite, it will most likely be ignored otherwise.
