Sunderland AFC has announced season card details for 2010-11, and supporters who commit to renew an existing seat or to purchase a new season card by Saturday 3rd April can secure a whole season of football at the Stadium of Light at 2007-08 prices.

Following on from last season’s ground-breaking junior prices, seats for under 16s will be available from only £49 – less than £3 a game. Adult seats will be priced from £380 and reduced prices are also available for over 65s and under 22s, starting at £265.

And as Sunderland continues its pledge to keep football at the Stadium of Light affordable, anyone who renews or buys a new season card before 3rd April can spread the cost of their seat over 8 months, with the club’s special interest-free direct debit payment scheme.

SAFC Chairman Niall Quinn said: “Home form is vital in ensuring the success of our football club and this season we’ve had the backing of almost 30,000 season card holders which is something that has given me a huge sense of pride.

“Our attendances are already among some of the highest in the top flight but it’s my goal to see this stadium full to the rafters for every game. I believe we’ve achieved a good balance with our prices between keeping football affordable and bringing in the revenue we need to help us continue to progress and improve on and off the field and I hope this will encourage even more fans to join us for the 2010-11 season.

“We’ve continued our ethos of welcoming families and young supporters with a realistic pricing structure. For an under 16 to be able to attend a game for less than £3 represents fantastic value for money and is something that I’m sure will help us to welcome the next generation of Sunderland supporters to the Stadium of Light.”

“We’re making progress and that in no small part is down to our supporters. I’m looking forward to 2010-11 and the sharing the next part of the journey with them.”
