Christmas is on the corner, it’s time to get in spirit of the season to start and celebrating. For Festival Christmas Carols, the chaplaincy from University of Sunderland was yesterday held the University’s Carols services at Sunderland Minster.

The Chaplaincy prepared this Carols services for students, staffs from University and also resident from Sunderland.
The University Chaplain, Revd Canon Dr Stephen Fagbemi, explained what the service was all about.
“Tonight is an opportunity for us as University community to celebrate together sharing the joy of Christmas and it is part of University Carol services is a preparation of Christmas.
Many organizations are going to be singing a Carol different time or doing these weeks. But for us, because we soon go a vacation for Christmas, it is important that we are the communicator to be able to come together as celebrate the Carol services.”
The service includes carols and readings from the Bible, The carols and readings vary from year to year. There is an atmosphere of peace and calm, everyone just enjoyed the performance of choir and sang together.
The impressive performance was one of the staff from University trying to teach peoples sing with him.
The staff from University, Willian Ang’awa, was sharing his happiness at the end of this service,
“It’s a brilliant night, I sang a song I think people like it, tonight is really good, bliss and quite fantastic, probably is the best Carol services of University for very long time.
Christmas is important that we share and get together. Good to see everybody from the all different colors rises, there is coming to share prepared our little kid was born in the manger in Bethlehem in the very poor place and here we are almost two thousand years later still celebrating his birth. Hope there gives gift to us to be peace in the world.”
This Carol service will being played in full on Monday 14/12/2009 at 1pm and on Thursday 17/12/2009 at 7Pm.
