The Guest Mix: ABSORB VS SEQUEL

In association with the Monday Night Mix and Too Broad A Church, Spark FM presents a specially recorded one hour guest mix from one of the North East’s most exciting duo’s: ABSORB VS SEQUEL.

With a new single due for release in early December and a debut album due out in 2010 the Grime/Dubstep producers have created an one hour mix filled with exclusive remixes and songs for their forthcoming album amongst others!

Bio

ABSORB VS SEQUEL arrived at their ‘nostep’ sound via their individual and collective influences. For ABSORB, this is mainly grime, electro/house and dubstep, whilst for Sequel, the guitar features more prominently alongside drum and bass and triphop.
Absorb and Sequel joined forces in November 2007 and have written and recorded a full album as well as various remixes and b-sides. They released “The BLAH EP” in December 2008, and in the same month, received Radio 1 airplay courtesy of Huw Stephens as well as national press accolades from Future Music magazine, which awarded a track from this EP “Nasty” their Demo of the Month award.
Having spent 2009 doing gigs in some of Newcastle ‘s most well known venues, as well as racking up local media coverage in print and via radio interviews and airplay, the pair move in to 2010 with their debut album “180″ scheduled for a summer release.
