Letters to Santa – Weekday Breakfast

The Weekday Breakfast team caught up with Santa just to make sure that he has received all of his letters from people across the City of Sunderland.

Not only did Santa get the letters but he wanted to hear some of the kids read them out so he could respond.

Each weekday in the run up to christmas, we are playing you some children from Dame Dorothy Primary School on the Breakfast Show.

THE 107 SPARK FM LOCK IN

“This is really nerve racking… Hang on, let me just have a quick read… Oh my word!!”

Those were the comments of Breakfast Show Presenter Scott McGerty this morning, as he revealed for the first time, what many in Sunderland have been asking about!

107 Spark FM will be locking away 3 presenters, in our newly launched broadcasting location, the City Hub, for two nights facing a gruelling ordeal of challenges and tasks.

The event is in aid of ‘If U Care, Share’ – a charity which encourages young people to share their problems and also give support to those bereaved by suicide.

The Lock In begins on 9th December and will be live across Sunderland on 107 FM and around the world at sparksunderland.com

Rob Temple On Hypnotism

On Sunday 23rd October Rob Temple comedy hypnotist Rob Temple spoke to Spark FM’s Anna Allchurch and The Weekend Breakfast team.

Temple was speaking about hypnotism on TV and commented on Derren Brown’s experiments.

The hypnotist makes regular appearances at the Freshers week at Sunderland University every year and this year was no exception.

Renowed for his dance moves, Spark FM’s Weekday Breakfast Presenter Scott McGerty brings a parody of Guettas ‘Little Bad Girl’

Appropriately titled ‘Little Bad Scott’

The song highlights some of Scotts personal experiences on legendary nights out in Sunderland and provides a great visual of a hyper Northern Irish man, with kick ass dance moves being accepted by young lasses, young lads and the occasional Gran

Can Scott sing?…. well no actually but it is an opportunity to showcase how cool Mackems are and how welcoming they are of people to the city

Lets get some local producers on the case!. Only a basic echo has been used to make this version but lets see what locals producers can do make this track sound more like a Sunderland Chart Hit

The Breakfast Show with I'm Fred Marden – 27/05/11

On Friday 27^th May, The Breakfast Show with I’m Fred Marden decided to broadcast from a location outside the 107 Spark FM studios.

With Corinne Kilvington co-presenting, Nathan Dunn as the celebrity guest and Anna Allchurch producing, the team had a good show ahead! This outside broadcast was in honour of Take That coming to Sunderland’s very own Stadium of Light to kick start their 29 day tour.

The team based themselves in The Wheatsheaf Hotel bar in Roker, just opposite the stadium. With ex-Big Brother housemate, Nathan Dunn, working as part of the team, they managed to speak to a number of Take That fans and enjoyed a chat with last year’s Big Brother winner, Josie towards the end of the show after discovering a huge fan of hers.
