Sunderland Pride: Envy

This week Spark FM’s Sam Willey caught up with North East boy band Envy.
 
The Take That and Westlife tribute act were recently confirmed for Sunderland’s first ever Gay Pride event, which takes place on September 25th.
 
Envy are made up of four members – John Francais, Jay Jamison, Mea Deen and Ian Bianchi, all of which have had interesting career highlights!
 
John has worked on cruise ships travelling the world and he was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year in 1998. Jay has performed in the hit show Chicago and even sung with Pink on stage! Mea was part of a double act in Tenerife for 12 years and Ian performed in Israel for 6 months.
 
They recently took to the stage at the Glass Spider when Take That were performing in front of a sold out crowd at the Stadium of Light.
